Nagyszínpad
100 minutes 1 intermission
Green fields, idyllic meadows and some of the finest bounty a flock could crave in the East. The sleep of the sheep team is watched over by three earnest shepherds in their cavernous coats. But one night, a new star appears over Bethlehem and the lambs wake to find their shepherds gone. Have the UFOs kidnapped their shepherds, or was the goat telling the truth and they have indeed rushed to the famous newborn baby who, when he grows up, is supposed to save the world?

In the blink of an eye, the sheeps are in motion. It won't be just a night out. This is a real test of courage. A quick head count. First sheep, second sheep... oh, they'd have to be able to count to at least a thousand to count themselves. They're on their way to see the baby. But perhaps it's not so easy to keep such a fussy flock of sheeps together without adults. What can you bring the baby as a present? And why are the wolves so desperate to find him? Where have the shepherds disappeared to?
The flock eagerly searches for the answers to these questions, while the Last Sheep, at the end of the line, keeps bellowing the same old song:
"Just the kind of visitor a newborn child like us is waiting for. The sick, the blind, the lame and the totally retarded. He'll greet such unfortunate losers with a kiss on the hand."
Based on Ulrich Hub's Christmas storybook, this production tells the true story of Jesus' birth from an unusual perspective, with lots of music and even more humour.
The rights to the performance were licensed by Verlag der Autoren and Hofra Kft.
