The Small Suicides date back to the very beginnings of the history of the Teatre of Objects and constitute a clear and elementary testimony to the existence of this genre. A peculiar language where the object is not disguised to represent roles or characters in human afairs, but represents itself with surprising dignity. Te actor does not use objects to talk about himself, but helps them to express themselves. Now, forty years later, a passionate researcher is exhuming this unusual piece from the abyss of the archives to save it from oblivion.

Object Theatre - Notes, quotes, exercises in the collection of Gyula Molnár book release
Without the means to maintain the directness of gaze and emotion, theatre ends. It becomes embalming. This book encourages us to be inspired by everything we encounter in our daily lives and to see the constant source of inspiration in what surrounds us. It is not just for those who want to "make theatre". It's also excellent for the viewer who just wants a real taste of reality. This little book helps to open and train our eyes. An arm capable of turning the world upside down with effective and concrete steps to make room for individual search. (Eugenia Praloran)
Gyula Molnár was born in Hungary in 1950 and has lived in Italy since childhood. He has worked as an actor, writer, and director throughout Europe. He is Honorary Professor of Puppetry at the Ernst Busch Academy of Drama in Berlin. In his theatre teaching he has often led improvisation workshops exploring the interaction between actor and subject. Molnár's artistic activity is based on the development of the text during the rehearsal process - as a kind of creative expedition to explore the lyrical and meaningful potentials of the material world.
